Harmony Place, a United Way agency, has been providing services to persons experiencing sexual assault and domestic violence for over 30 years. We believe that all persons have the right to live without violence or the fear of violence in their lives. Harmony Place strives to prevent violence by educating the community on the effects of violence and how the community can help assist in ending violence.
Each person experiencing sexual or domestic violence is unique with his or her own individual needs. Harmony Place works with survivors to assist in their healing journeys. We offer the following services:

- emergency shelter
- crisis intervention
- individual supportive counseling
- support groups
- criminal justice system advocacy
- children's services
- information about local resources
- safety planning
- transitional housing
- sexual assault survivor services
- community training, education, advocacy

Employment within Our Agency
If you are an individual over age 55 meeting certain income requirements, you may be able to work on-site at our thrift store through participation in an employment program offered through the National Council on Aging. For further information, contact NCOA at 202.479.1200 or www.ncoa.org.
Volunteering is a good way to become acquainted with our agency and obtain education and experience that may qualify you for open employment positions. Call 540-635-9194 if you are interested in volunteerism with our agency.
